Water Purification
The water systems and wells in remote areas such as Chiapas are infested with deadly viruses and amebas. Indigenous people suffer from illness and death when they drink water directly from sources such as water wells and streams. Pure water is a valuable commodity. GLED distributes half micron gravity filtration systems to villages in need of pure water. We are also continually researching and exploring systems that provide better efficiency, longevity and affordability.
In addition, GLED is experimenting with more sophisticated systems that integrate into wells using electric pumping systems. One of these systems has been installed and provides pure drinking water for the GLED Training Center.
