Dear Partner in Ministry,
The November Mission trip was a great success! We were able to finalize the establishment of our organization in Mexico (Esperanza Para el Mundo (EPEM) without any difficulty. We also had an opportunity to speak in depth with our top indigenous leaders about the implementation of the GLED humanitarian programs and Church multiplication. One of our goals for these people groups is to establish 700 Indigenous Churches; this is not easy to accomplish, Spiritually we seek God in all we do, pragmatically it also requires that we constantly critique our methodology and ardently work on removing barriers and developing bridges towards building relationships and ministry opportunities in remote communities.

We had a setback regarding the acquisition of our FM3 visas (Mexican work visas), it appears that the requisites that were given us by the Mexican Consulate in Dallas did not match the ones at the immigration office in Chiapas. We will have to begin and end the process in San Cristobal de Las Casas. Hopefully by the end of March 2009 we will have our visas.

Our support is coming along slowly so please remember to pray for us, that the Lord would work on the hearts of those that are to be our partners in Ministry, pray also for our visas to go through without delay, for Church multiplication to occur, pray for the lost and for a great harvest in 2009.

It is almost Christmas and our hearts are filled with joy as we remember the wonderful gift we have in Christ Jesus. He is the essence of all we purpose and do. May God richly bless you and yours with the knowledge of His Son and a life centered on Him.
Sergio & Beth

Beth and I have completed our transition to East West Ministries. We are now scheduling Mission trips through East West. The best way to see what God is doing in Chiapas is with your own eyes. We invite you to come and see what God is doing among the Indigenous peoples there. We believe that as you go, God will work through you to minister to the people; and as you work for Him, He will do a work in your heart. We look forward to being with you in the field.
Please look under “EVENTS” for Mission Trip dates and to apply.

Romans 10:14-15 …..How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

We thank you for your prayers and gifts to GLED and to Beth and I.

As of August 27th I will be giving my full attention to GLED. We have just been informed that Beth (my wife) will be allowed to leave American Airlines to join me in the field (Thank you Lord!). Our plans for the remainder of 2008 are to raise the necessary personal support, acquire our Mexican FM3 visas and finish GLED’s implementation planing for 2009. We are also working on details in Mexico. We are making arrangements with an accounting firm to process the finances for Esperanza Para El Mundo (EPEM) which is GLED’s Public Charity in Mexico.

We are so exited to finally be on the countdown at the launching pad of what we know will be a blessed race for Christ which we intend to finish together with you in Glory. It is our hope and expectation that our Heavenly Father will allow us to Glorify Him with all our efforts and that thousands of people will get to know Him and be discipled in Christ Jesus around the World. Thank you for being on task with us, in Him.
